Dog Licenses
The owner or keeper of a dog over the age of 6 months shall obtain a license for the dog. Dogs are licensed annually in the Town of Orange from early January to the end of March.
Dog licensing for the Town of Orange will be available in the Town Clerk's Office. Dog licenses must be renewed by March 31 or a $50 late fee will be charged.

Kennel Licenses are required for a pack or collection of dogs on a single premise, including a commercial boarding or training kennel, commercial breeder kennel, domestic charitable corporation kennel, personal kennel, or veterinary kennel.
A personal kennel is a pack or collection of more than 4 dogs, 3 months old or older, owned or kept under a single ownership on one premise (Chapter 140 sec. 136A). All kennels must be inspected at least once annually by the Animal Control Officer. Personal Kennel Licensing fees are as follows:
- 5-10 Dogs $100
- Over 10 Dogs $150
How to Get a Dog License
Dog licenses payments may be made by check through the mail, put in the drop box located by the door on Town Hall, or paid for in person at the Town Clerk's Office via cash, check, or card. Proof of rabies vaccination and spay or neuter is required for all dogs. Make sure to include proof of rabies vaccination and proof of spay or neuter when mailing or dropping off payment for your dog's license.
If mailing in for a license or dropping paperwork with your payment in the drop box located at Town Hall, please address the check or money order payable to the Town of Orange with the required fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Online payment for dogs is available for most dog renewals. If paying online, a $1 processing fee in included. If the records on file with the Town Clerk show the rabies is expired, you will not be able to renew online. Once an online payment is received we mail the license and tag to the address on file.
