The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts provides a free bag of healthy groceries to eligible seniors once a month at local senior centers and community organizations. Our local pick-up is at St Mary's Church (20 West Myrtle Street) from 10:30 to 12:30 on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Call 978-544-3481 for more information or visit their website to apply.
Meals on Wheels provides nutritionally balanced meals to homebound elders aged 60 and older. To order, please contact LifePath at 413-773-5555 or visit the LifePath website.
This summer program provides ten weeks of fresh, local produce delivered to participating Senior Centers and Councils on Aging. Shares are valued at $135 and are made up of a mix of fresh, seasonal vegetables each week. How to sign up: Call the Orange COA at 978-544-3481 or stop at 62 Cheney Street and pick up an application. Shares are limited to 35, once the 35 slots are filled, the remaining applications will be placed in a lottery for shares that may become available.
Every Monday and Thursday at 10:00. All types of needlepoint are welcome to join. Some supplies are available.
